***I have 2 posts today ~ if you are here for the Keep Swimming post in honor of Katie Renz, please click HERE or continue to scroll down :) Thank You!***

Hi there! Welcome to Day #2 of the October Waltzinmouse Stamps previews! Today, Claire, several members of the Waltzingmouse DT and myself will be sharing projects featuring the new fun Nordic Winter stamp set. NOTE: With Claire's blessings, I've included a peek of what's to come tomorrow!

What? No manufactured patterned paper??? You must read on! I LOVE the versatility of Waltzingmouse Stamps ~ not only are they fabulous for card making but may easily be used when creating home decor, gift packages and scrapbook layouts AND so many of them may be mixed and matched! With that being said,  today, I have two types of projects to share. First up is a layout. When I first saw the images for Nordic Winter, I immediately thought of a warm and cozy winter ski sweater like the one Connor is wearing in the Christmas photo shown below. This stamp set if full of quite a variety of stamps making it a very versatile stamp set. Using the 2 lined small heart image, I stamped the heart patterned paper on the left hand side and I combined several images to stamp the decorative paper that the photo is layered on top of. After lining up the stamps on the stamp block grid,  I inked them up using VersaMark ink, stamped then embossed using fine white powder revealing all the beautiful decorative design:
Notice the beautiful cluster of Heirloom ornaments? The larger pretty green ornament is from the previously released Vintage Ornaments featuring the "GOODWILL" label from Seasonal Remedies that was introduced yesterday and the three other (Kraft, Red and medium sized Green) are a peek at what is to come tomorrow!!! I couldn't resist inking them up and using them on this LO as they coordinate fabulously with Nordic Holidays!
If scrap booking is not your cup of tea and you prefer card making, here is a card I made using the "scraps" from my layout:
All I had to do to complete this card was ink up and stamp a sentiment from Seasons of Love - Tags that was cut using a Classic Heart die template and layered on a scalloped die cut heart that was cut using a Classic Scalloped Heart die template then layered on a chipboard heart from Want2Scrap:

Here's a look at how I stamped the lovely heart patterned paper which was soooo easy:
and the pretty embossed Nordic patterned paper:
That's all I have for today ~ Thanks so much for visiting! I'll be back tomorrow with Day #3. For some awesome inspiration, please be sure to visit Claire and the other Waltzingmouse DT members:

Mona, this is absolutely perfect - I just adore the way you stamped the papers you used on this layout and card. I love Scandinavia (Sweden in particular) and have a real fondness for their Christmas style - you've captured it perfectly with Claire's beautiful stamps. The layout and card are both so sweet and the way you put your projects together never ceases to amaze me x

Oh what a gorgeous layout, Mona! I am always inspired by your scrapbook pages, so detailed and made with such love! And while the colors are traditional Christmas colors, somehow you always make things look so soft and dreamy. That card is too perfect to be made with "scraps" hee! So lovely!

Mona, both your layout and the card are wonderful projects. I really like very much how you stamped those different patterns and the way how you stamped the backgrounds on the cards is the best example that design paper is not needed if one has such great stamps to make own "design paper". And I also think that your colours are just perfect to Christmas projects.

Kind regards
Carola
