WMS October DT Waltz 97

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, October 15, 2011 @ 11:00 AM |

Welcome to the October WMS Blog Waltz!  Hope you are all off to a great weekend! You may have noticed it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at my crafting table and I'm lovin' it!!! Today, Claire, the Waltzingmouse DT and myself are sharing samples made using Candy Jar Christmas and Candy Jar Christmas Fillers. ALL 6 stamp sets: Seasonal Remedies - large set, Santa's coming to town - small set, Nordic Winter - large set, 2011 Holiday Ornaments - large set, Candy Jar Christmas - large set, Candy Jar Christmas Fillers - large set will be for sale today in the Waltzingmouse store! You should have arrived here from Belinda's blog then you are in the right place, if not please hop on over to Claire's blog where the celebration began!

A few minor details: As with all of Waltzingmouse Stamps Design Team Blog Waltzes, you have the opportunity to win a stamp set of your choice. There will be a prize (a stamp set of choice) via a random drawing from one of the Design Team Members blog. You will have until 11:59 pm Eastern  October 17th to leave your comments. The winner will be posted on Claire's blog on October 18th. Good Luck!

Today I have a layout and a card featuring  Candy Jar Christmas and Candy Jar Christmas Fillers. These stamp sets contain so many versatile images that may be used for scrapbooking, cardmaking or creating altered treasures ;) First up is a layout of Connor and Meri helping me decorate cookies years ago: NOTE: Meri's cheeks packed with samples! :) LOL
Candy Jar Christmas contains several circular shaped sentiments and so much more! I stamped the round sentiments, sponged the centers using various colored inks on each then adhered to a rosette embellishment made using Tim Holtz Rosette die templates.
Next is another rosette embellishment bearing another fun circular shaped sentiment:
and yet another one:
Candy Jar Christmas Fillers contains both "solid" and "non-solid" images ~ something for everyone! I inked up the "solid" gingerbread man (boy) image and stamped him in the jar on my layout. I used a masking technique adding layers and depth to these little guys. I created a custom label combining the Mrs. Santa Claus image label and the fun Traditional Elven Recipes image:
For those of you who prefer card making and enjoy coloring, then these gingerbread men (boyz) are for you! The little guys peeking out of the jar on my card are a cluster of gingerbread men that require coloring.
For layout sketch inspiration, I played along with the awesome sketch from Becky Fleck at PageMaps:
and for card sketch inspiration, I played along with the fun sketch challenge at Inkspirations:
That's all I have to share today ~ I hope you have enjoyed my projects today! To continue with the waltz, please visit Sarah's blog ~ click HERE. Thanks so much for looking ~ Be Sweet :)
