Home is where my Heart is...CR84FN39#2 32

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, October 1, 2011 @ 8:55 PM | , , ,

Happy Sunday! It's so hard to believe that it is October already when the Mercury is still pushing the 100 degree mark here in Phoenix! I'm here to share a card I made for week two of the CR84FN39 Color Challenge using the pretty colors shown below. I would like to thank Marie for joining us at CR84FN over the past 4 weeks as our Guest Designer and sharing her amazing talent with us!

This color combination has such a "homespun" feel to me so I was inspired to ink up a few images from the MFT Well Worn Greetings. There is something about plaid that reminds me of warm, fuzzy flannel pj's!
I don't have a lot of Brown patterned paper in my stash, so I had to get a bit creative and "make" my own. I started with a piece of Pink Paislee Mistable paper, applied some Claudine Hellmuth Sable acrylic paint, wasn't thrilled with the color so I applied some Blank Canvas paint and was then pleased with the new shade of brown :) Love when that happens! For sketch inspiration, I joined along with this week's fun MFT Sketch Challenge:
***REMEMBER ~ you still have to time to join in the Pink Paislee World Card Making Day celebration! Click HERE for complete details.
Thanks so much for visiting today ~ hope you have a terrific day! Please be sure to visit Marie and the CR84FN DT for more fabulous inspiration: Marie Oberg (Guest Designer)Suzanne CzosekDeborah FringsStephanie KraftSue LelliAndrea MathewsLisa SomervilleHeather Jensen

Mona - a lovely folksy feel to your card - I do like the sentiment and that sweet little house with the stitched heart. Just fab!

We've got an Indian Summer here - 83°F - not as hot as you guys - but we're making the most of it!
