I made a little gift set for my sweet sister Tina. I stamped my own background paper by inking up various foliage from
Blessed by You with from Rangers Autumn Collection of Distress inks along with one of the beautiful text images from
Text - It. The treat bag was made using Claire's
FREEBIE Three Kings Boxes. After cutting the template, for a bit of variety, I used a die template from
Classic Triple Scallop to create a pretty scalloped edge along the top replacing the original edge.
After watching Tim work his magic with these inks, I knew I needed them! LOL That man could sell me tar off a shingle!!!
As I was playing around with my stamps and inks creating my project, the light bulb went off! I pulled out some Spellbinders Craft Foil Jewel Tones only to discover that the purple and orange foil coordinates beautifully with the Autumn Collection Distress inks!
Love the detail revealed in the foliage when the foil is slightly sanded:

Fabulous Mona! I just watched his video last night on these new inks. I love the tan~ish color of the bunch too. I like how you always make pretty background papers. I never think to do that. It turned out beautifully. :)

Ooo weee! I have been eyeing up those Distress Inks, and now my resolve is gone. Just gone...curses, Mona! What a gorgeous autumn gift set for your sister! Wow. Too much to comment on it all, but that treat box is so cute, never saw that one before and I love it. Also, the foil leaves technique is so pretty. I love all the distressing on the paper edges of your cards. I am already working on my Nov waltz project and guess what...it is a CASE of one of your projects! Now, hopefully I have guessed the theme correctly! I will be totally messed up if I have guessed wrong! Love your project today.
