With Love 73

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, December 30, 2010 @ 12:37 AM | , ,

Hi there! Hope all is going well with all of you. I'm here today to share a card I made using some of my favorite products. I inked up both a fancy border and sentiment image from Waltzingmouse Fancy Phrases then using a S4-235 Fancy Tag die template to cut/emboss the images creating a Fancy tag :)
For color inspiration, I referred to this week's CR84FN8 graphic :
For the bow, I used Raspberry Truffle Vintage style scrunched seam binding from Kimberly Tracy. Kimberly makes and sells some gorgeous ribbon that can be found at My Craft Spot.
Before you know it, Valentine's Day will soon be here! So I gathered up a few things to share with one lucky randomly chosen person via Random.org that may help you get a jump start on making those Valentine's for the one(s) you love! All you need to do is leave a comment on this post by 6:00 pm Eastern US time - Saturday, January 1st and tell me who YOU will be making sweet Valentine's for? :) I will post the winning's recipients name on my post for Sunday, January 2nd.
That's all for now - headed to work for the day. Can't wait to read who you all share Valentine's with! Thanks for looking! Be Sweet :)

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Fancy Phrases

Lovely card Mona!
Well Hello there gorgeous stamps and papers! This year I have decided to make Valentines for the elderly... I was watching this program the other day on TV, showing so many elder people just left in a home... no one comes to visit them and no one calls them... they kept telling their stories and crying... So I have decided I will send them loads of cards... and I have already started on the love cards since quite a few days! Just something to make them feel loved...
Thanks for the opportunity Mona!

LOVE this card and all things Valentine. I make cards for the residents of a nursing home west of Houston, TX. I get a list of the resident's names and make approx 70 different cards to deliver to the home with my neighbor. We bring them sandwiches from Subway and her children and then pass out the cards one by one. This will be the third year and they look forward to our Valentine's visit. So many of them are all alone with no visitors so when they receive a card with their name on it, they are so excited!

I was up at the dollar store today, and Xmas has been shoved right aside for Valentine's Day - I am excited to get things going for my beautiful girls! My wedding anniversary is only a few days before V-Day, so hubby and I celebrate the two together - and I am planning to draw inspiration from your coupon book to make a gift for him! :)
