Hi Friends! I hope you all had a fun, safe & relaxing weekend - maybe you even had a chance to sneak in some crafty time? :) I have been a lil' busy stamping away preparing for the Waltzingmouse Stamps September Release. I took a break from "sneaky" work & made this card. Ever since Sharon over at the JustRite Blog challenged us all to create using glitter, I haven't been able to put it down!
I "glttered up" this pretty Tattered Angels Butterfly Glimmer chip using Martha Stewart's Purple Sapphire glitter. I love the way it shimmers - almost like a girl's best friend ;)
For sketch inspiration, I played along with Laura's sketch #60 at 2 Sketches 4 You.
You know my special affection for tags right? To make the lil' tag on this card, I inked up an image from the Waltzingmouse Very Vintage Labels No. 5 set then cut/embossed it using a Spellbinders™ S4-229 Labels Five die template, inked the edges then stamped the Merci sentiment which is from the Victorian Frippery set.
Notice the stamped scalloped border? I made that by using a Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® LF-127 Grand Scalloped Square die template to cut a scalloped strip of paper then I inked up the ornate little image from the Waltzingmouse Very Vintage Labels No. 2 set & stamped away!

I think labels 5 is next on my list for sure, but my favorite part of this card is actually the scalloped border - I like the way it sort of wraps, since it used to be a square. As always, I love your card!
