Wedding Wishes 36

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, February 7, 2010 @ 11:27 PM | , ,

Hi Girls! I hope you all had a great weekend! While my DH was enjoying the Super Bowl - I was enjoying my papercrafts :) This card is for 2 challenges: 1. Caardvarks current challenge is sponsored by Paige of Scrapbook Trends CARDS Magazine

& she is challenging us players to create a Wedding Card. 2. For Sketch Inspiration, I played along with the girls at Card Positioning Systems who's Featured Sponsor is Papertrey Ink! Please be sure to visit BOTH of these sites for some amazing inspiration & for all the details regarding their challenges!

Here is my Wedding Wishes card:

I made this card a little bit larger than the usual - it is 5" x 5". I started by inking up the PTI Polka dot image with SU Soft Sky ink. I paired

To make the pink flower, I layered approximately 8 - 10 layers of pink Mulberry paper, then using the Spellbinders Dahlia die, I sent it through my die cutting machine. With a little crinkling & fluffing, you end up with a beautiful blossom! If you would like see my video tutorial on how to make this sort of tissue paper flower here is the link.

To make the frame under the Mulberry paper flower, I inked up the Judi Kins Artist Signature stamp with SU Chocolate Chip, stamped then cut out a frame using a Spellbinders Labels 9 die then layered.
I liked the way the PTI WEDDING wishes sentiment looks embossed with silver on the red paper :) Really seems to dress things up? What do you think?

That is it for today! I will be back tomorrow with More My Time Made Easy :) If you are interested in playing in some fun challenges, be sure to visit Just Us Girls & Jen's, Sketch For You To Try :) Have a great day! Be Sweet!

Ingredients Used: Stamps: PTI Polka Dot Basics 11, Giga Guidelines, Judi Kins Artist Signature Paper: PTI Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist, Rustic White, K&Company DP, generic Mulberry paper Ink: SU Soft Sky, VersaMark, Ranger Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Sprinkles: Spellbinders Labels 9 & Dahlia, Offray ribbon, pearl brads & embossing powder from stash
