My Time Made Easy - March Release 49

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, February 28, 2010 @ 9:57 PM | ,

Happy March 1st Everyone! Here today to share a sample of what I made featuring Lauren's, My Time Made Easy © Pretty Packaging template: Card Catch All, © Card Catch All Card & Envelope cut files & My Time Made Easy © Pretty Impressions stamps: So Sentimental, Bringing Home Baby & Fanciful Flourishes that are available TODAY for purchase in the MTME © webstore. Lauren & All the MTME DT girls will be sharing some amazing samples as well, so please be sure to stop by to see what everyone has created!

Here is my © Card Catch All Gift set:

The © Card Catch All in the photo above was made at it's "original" size, which easily holds 4-6 cards depending on how much you embellish them. If you are like me & like to layer, use big bows, tags & buttons, 4 fit easily without squishing anything :)

This template takes virtually no time at all to make, as the score lines are clean & simple. For today's project, I used the © Card Catch All as a gift box to present this set of coordinating All - Occasion greeting cards.

To make this darling little tag, I first cut a scalloped circle using a Quikutz die then I inked up one of the many beautiful stamps from the © Fanciful Flourishes set & stamped a decorative border all with one stamp! The © Fanciful Flourishes set is full of versatile stamps making it an extremely useful all around sort of stamp set! To make the center of the tag, I combined the A Gift for You image from the © Bringing Home Baby set & the With Love image from the © So Sentimental set, inked it up then cut it out using a Spellbinders Circle die.

Each card was made using the © Card Catch All Card cut file which is tri-fold card. I inked up a variety of the © Fanciful Flourishes images with SU River Rock & Floral images with SU Pretty in Pink & randomly stamped the outside of each card. These flourishes are so elegant making them a wonderful addition to my stamp collection!

Although each card is the same design, I wanted to show you a sample of several images from the © So Sentimental & © Fanciful Flourishes sets. Remember: BOTH contain so many more!

I made the inside of each card simply by cutting a piece of PTI Sweet Blush cs, then stitching on a strip of both pre-stamped DP paper that I made using several images from the © Fanciful Flourishes set & a piece of My Mind's Eye DP. I tied a bow then adhered the scalloped center showcasing the sentiment.

That's all I have for today, remember to stop by to see what Lauren & ALL the MTME DT girls have to share for inspiration!

If you make anything using any MTME products, I would love to take a peek! Please feel free to email me a photo or send me a link :) Thanks for taking the time to look - I will be back Wednesday, March 3rd to share another MTME project. Be Sweet!

Happy Saturday Everyone! Time for another Just Us Girls Template Challenge! Pam is our wonderful Hostess this week & Lauren Meader, the Designer/Owner of My Time Made Easy is Sponsoring this week's template challenge! We would love to see what you can create with any MTME © template or PLEASE feel free to create using any template of your choice! I would like to give Chupa a BIG shout out - Thank you Chupa for joining Just Us Girls for the month of February! :)

It is my pleasure to introduce you to Rosie, the © Bouncing Bunny :)

I think she is the cuuutest, sweetest little thing! Rosie was cut at using the "original size" of the © Bouncing Bunny cut file. The basket portion, was cut using the MTME © Bouncing Baby Buggy template reduced to 80%. That is the beauty of all Lauren's templates, they are available in various cutting platforms, making them totally customizable! (ALL of these MTME items will be available on February 28th @ Midnight EST in the MTME webstore.

Here is Rosie's side profile!

I stitched on an embossed, decorative panel to each side of the basket. Using a Fiskar's punch, I first punched the border prior to folding over.

To complete my gift set, I made a card to accompany Rosie!

I found this little bunny stamp in the $1 bargain bin at my local craft store - you can only imagine the joy in my heart as I hopped out of the store with that darling creature in my bag :)

To add a little dimension, I paper-pieced the bunny's head.

I hope you come play along with the Just Us Girls template challenge! For complete details, please visit the Just Us Girls challenge site & be sure to visit ALL the DT girls (found on my side bar) & Chupa to see what they have created!

Once you have your project photographed, be sure to go to Just Us Girls and post a direct link to your creation on our site. If you upload to on online gallery, please be sure to label your creation as JUGS22!

Mona Pendleton | @ 9:55 PM | , , ,

*** This is 1 0f 3 posts today - if you are looking for my JUGS post - please continue to scroll up - Thanks! :) ***

Hi Everyone! I am here to share my last sketch as Jen del Muro's February Guest Designer at iheart2stamp. Jen, currently has a fun contest going on and she is offering a huge prize package to one lucky participant. Please be sure to visit Jen's site for complete details!

Here is my Just a Note card:

While shopping a my local scrapbook store, I discovered this Upsy Daisy Designs DP. I thought it would pair nicely with the Stampin' UP Trendy Trees set that I had in my collection.

I stamped the trees, each individually using the various Stampin' Up colors mentioned below then carefully centering a Spellbinders circle die over the stamped image, I ran it through my die cut machine. The embossed white frame image is from an older SU set & the Just a note image is from the MTME © You've Got Mail set. This sweet little sentiment fits just right!

That's all for today! I hope you can play along with Jen's fun sketch! Please be sure to visit Jen & the SFYTT DT to see what ALL the girls have created for inspiration: Amy Rohl, Amy Sheffer, Leigh O’Brien, Susan Liles & Kelly Lunceford.

Be Sweet! Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget, I will be sharing more MTME on Monday, March 1st!

My Time Made Easy March Release 40

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, February 25, 2010 @ 9:57 PM |

Hi Everyone! Today, I am sharing a baby gift set made using the NEW My Time Made Easy © Pretty Packaging: Bouncing Baby Buggy template along with the My Time Made Easy © Pretty Impressions: Bringing Home Baby & Fanciful Flourishes products that will be available March 1st in the My Time Made Easy webstore.

Lauren & Pam will be sharing their wonderful creations today, so please hop on over to their blogs to see what they have done with these awesome products!

Here is my Vintage-Style Bouncing Baby Buggy Gift set:
I made a "full" size MTME © Bouncing Baby Buggy template. To give you an idea of the actual size, the bunny in the photo really fits inside the buggy! When I first saw this template, an "old-fashioned" elegant buggy came to mind. I ran with that vision & started by stitching lace trim around the "hood" & around the perimeter. I also adorned each panel of the buggy with embossed, distressed cardstock. For an extra touch of detail, I stamped & embossed the elegant MTME © Fanciful Flourishes on several butterflies cut using the Spellbinders Butterfly die. I made the Buggy wheels out of a light weight chipboard cut using a Sizzix Bigz die & secured each with a brad. This provides reinforcement allowing me to fill the buggy with heavier items. Remember: Lauren's MTME © templates are available in various cutting formats which allows for size flexibility to suit your specific needs! The possibilities are endless & totally customizable!
The © Bringing Home Baby stamp sets contains a wide variety of useful stamps. To make this tag, I inked up the smaller buggy image & the "Bringing Home Baby" sentiment with VersaMark then embossed with gold embossing powder.
I was having so much fun creating with the new MTME © Pretty Impressions: Bringing Home Baby & Fanciful Flourishes stamp sets, I made a card to accompany my Buggy. The © Fanciful Flourishes set is extremely elegant as you can see! The set has several gorgeous flourishes, making it difficult to choose which one to use! To sum it up - in my opinion, the MTME © Bringing Home Baby & Fanciful Flourishes stamps sets are simply incredibly elegant & beautiful!

That's it for today. Thanks so much for looking! Please be sure to stop by BOTH Lauren & Pam's blogs to see their creations!

I have been very busy creating with all the new My Time Made Easy products for the upcoming March Release so, please be sure to stop by frequently so you will not miss anything! Be Sweet!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #18...PDCC18 36

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, February 24, 2010 @ 10:00 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Thanks to all of you who played along in last week's Play Date Cafe creativity challenge! For this week's challenge at the Play Date Cafe, PDCC18, Julie Ranae chose a beautiful inspirational photo that contain my favorite colors :) These colors are such a breath of fresh spring air!

Here is my card:

Any shade of Aqua is my favorite!

Here are a few details on how I made this card: The Tea label image on top is a stamp that I spotted at my local stamping store several months ago & finally inked it up! LOL The music note piece is a piece of metal from Ten Seconds Studio that I embossed, then sanded to reveal the silver - this stuff is gorgeous & super easy to work with! I inked up one of the Waltzing Mouse Faux Fun lacey looking borders with SU Cool Caribbean then cut it out by hand - Nothing fancy, just a super sharp scissors & steady hand :) I highly recommend not drinking caffeinated tea or coffee prior to cutting!

The whimsical scripty oval comes from the MTME © Flutters & Flowers digi collection. One thing I truly appreciate about the MTME © digi paper - is the ease of printing anytime of the day or night! I added a few punched, embossed, multi-layered posies to finish off my card :)
I hope you can join along with this week's creativity challenge. After you have made your project, please head on over to The Play Date Cafe & link your post to Mr. Linky. Be sure to see what all The Play Date Cafe DT girls have created to share with you for inspiration! Are you drawn in by the color Aqua? Be Sweet!

Sarah Anderson,
Julie Campbell

Waltzing Mouse Stamps Very First Blog Hop...Spring theme 60

Mona Pendleton | Monday, February 22, 2010 @ 1:00 AM | , ,

Hi Everyone! I am very excited to be hopping along with Claire, the talented Owner/Designer of Waltzing Mouse Stamps & many other customers in Waltzing Mouse Stamps very first customer blog hop! Claire challenged us all to create our project featuring a Spring theme! The hop starts at Waltzing Mouse Stamps... If you have not arrived here from: MicheyMoo's please head back to Waltzing Mouse Stamps to stay on the right trail! If you are on track, from here you will hop on over to: Lynne Phellps. Be sure to visit all stops along the hop to see what everyone has created :)

Here is my Easter Blessings card:

With Spring right around the corner, Easter Sunday, blooming Tulips & Daffodils popped into my mind. I used an image from the Waltzing Mouse Very Vintage Labels 4 set to create an ornate frame around the spring flowers. Very Vintage Labels 4 was my very Waltzing Mouse stamp set!!! One of my faves! After inking up the Waltzing Mouse memo/note" image I made a little tag, using one of the smaller Spellbinders Labels 4 die.

From this bird's eye view, you can get a real appreciation for the teensy weensy polka dotted detail in the Waltzing Mouse image :) I colored the flower image using the Copics mentioned below then using a Spellbinders Oval Nestie, cut out the flower image & layered it on the label. After stitching the layers together, I topped off the card with a pretty satin bow, button & butterfly embellishment!

That is all for now - Thanks for looking & I hope to see you along the Hop! I am looking forward to see what everyone has created :)

Ingredients Used: Stamps: Waltzing Mouse Stamps Very Vintage Labels No. 4, Stampin' Up Fancy Flexible Phrases, The Gifts of Spring Paper: K&Company DP, Papertrey Ink Rustic White, Stampin' Up River Rock Ink: Ranger Vintage Photo, Stampin' Up Perfect Plum, Close To Cocoa, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers: RV11 Pink, Y21 Buttercup Yellow, YG95 Pale Olive, BV11 Soft Violet, YG63 Pea Green, YR21 Cream, 0 Colorless Blender Sprinkles: Spellbinders Labels 4, Oval & Butterfly Nesties, Cuttlebug Flower & Swiss Dots embossing folders, Making Memories hardware, Martha Stewart pearl, button & cord from stash

Just Us Girls Color Challenge......JUGS21 53

Mona Pendleton | Friday, February 19, 2010 @ 10:00 PM | , , ,

***I have 2 posts today - if you are looking for my Sketch For You To Try post - please continue to scroll down - Thanks!***

Hi Out there! Thanks to all of you who played along with last week's split negative technique challenge. For this week's color challenge, Maria is our wonderful Hostess & has chosen this fabulous photo for color inspiration to paint our palette (stamps) with! Remember, Iwona Palamountain (a.k.a. Chupa) is the JUGS Featured Designer for the month of February & will be joining in on the fun :) Here is my happy birthday card:
I made this birthday card for my Dear sister Tina who will be turning 52 on the 25th of this month :)I made the flourishy background by inking up the Cuttlebug embossing folder using the brayer technique. I like the soft, subtle effect. After cutting the Spellbinders flourish accent pieces that the flower sits on, I distressed it a tad with Ranger vintage photo ink, then applied some Ranger Blush Perfect Pearls. You can't see it so well in the photos, but the Perfect Pearls really adds a beautiful shimmery effect!
Papertrey Ink's Raspberry Fizz cardstock is a loud color to me - I can hear it screaming! YIKES! To tone it down, I rubbed some Ranger vintage photo ink around the edges of that particular layer. I suppose I just prefer a softer, muted color palette as opposed to a bold, loud one. I grew up with 10 siblings, so you can imagine the noise level! Maybe that is why I prefer peace & quiet & soft, subtle colors. Hmm.. :)
I made the multi-layered Coral colored mulberry paper flower using the Spellbinders Dahlia die :)

I hope you can join along with Just Us Girls this week :) For complete details, please visit the Just Us Girls challenge site & be sure to visit ALL the DT girls (found on my side bar) & Chupa to see what they have created!

Once you have your project photographed, be sure to go to Just Us Girls and post a direct link to your creation on our site. If you post your photo in an online gallery, be sure to name it JUGS21.

That's all for now. Thanks for looking at my card & I hope to see what you create using these beautiful colors.

Remember: I will be back today at 10:00 with my post for Sketch For You To Try sketch challenge!

Sketch For You To Try...Happy St. Patrick's Day! 27

*** This is 1 0f 2 posts today - if you are looking for my JUGS post - please continue to scroll up - Thanks! :) ***

Hi Everyone! As Jen del Muro's February Guest Designer at iheart2stamp, I am here today to share my sample of this week's Sketch For You To Try. Please be sure to visit Jen's site for complete details, as she is offering a huge prize package to one lucky participant. Here is my take on this week's awesome sketch:I made this Happy St. Patrick's Day card for my son's sweet red headed, Irish girlfriend April :) Here is April in the photo below all dressed up in her Irish dancing outfit - wig & all! When I lived in Buffalo, NY - there was the Annual St. Patty's Day parade & it seemed like the entire city would shut down, all the bars sold GREEN beer & the restaurants served Corned Beef & Cabbage! As the saying goes "Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day!"You can imagine how happy I was to find this sweet Hampton Art "happy St. Patrick's Day" stamp in the $1 bin at my local craft store :) Who doesn't love a bargain? After stamping the 4 leaf clover image & coloring it with the various Copic Markers mentioned below, I cut the out with a super sharp scissors & curled the edges a smidgen for a 3-D effect! I would love to know if you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

That's all I have for today, I hope you can play along with Jen's fun sketch! Please be sure to visit Jen & the SFYTT DT to see what ALL the girls have created for inspiration: Amy Rohl, Amy Sheffer, Leigh O’Brien, Susan Liles & Kelly Lunceford. Be Sweet!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #17...PDCC17 41

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, February 17, 2010 @ 9:59 PM | , , ,

Hi Everyone! Connor appreciated the card I made for him but probably not as much as the iTunes gift cards :) Today, it is time for another Creativity Challenge with the girls at The Play Date Cafe. This week, Julie Ranae chose the beautiful piece of art pictured below courtesy of Maria Madeiros for color inspiration.
Here is my Thinking of You card:I have to admit, these colors were quite a challenge for me. I pulled this older Stampin' Up set of my shelf & then things sort of fell into place. After staring at my stamps for quite awhile, hoping something would just "pop" into my head!! Ever have one of those days???

After stamping the bird & flower images, I used Copic markers to add color, then cut them out. I sort of curled the petals of the flowers for added dimension & added a pearl to each.

I thought the Rubber Stampede Music Background image was a good fit with the little bird image :) Spring has arrived in Phoenix, we are experiencing temps in the 70's already & the little birds are chirping their hearts out! I sat outside for awhile yesterday, enjoying the sounds of Spring :) Can you hear them yet where you live?

I hope you can join along with this week's creativity challenge. After you have made your project, please head on over to The Play Date Cafe & link your post to Mr. Linky. Be sure to see what all The Play Date Cafe DT girls have created to share with you for inspiration! Thanks for looking. Be Sweet!
