Deck The Halls... 21

Hello Ladies! We are 1/2 way there :) to Friday that is! & another day closer to Thanksgiving & Christmas :0 Before we all know it, we will be thinking about hearts for Valentine's Day! LOL My girlfriend who works at a LSS notified me this morning that Valentine's paper has ALREADY arrived & is on the shelves! Personally, I would like to ENJOY Thanksgiving & Christmas for as long as I can.... After all, I just received an order of Christmas stamps & more are on the way :) If you visit often, you know I work in an Operating Room & have a lot of co-workers. We are like a BIG family. I can't afford to purchase everyone a gift so, I make them each a HOMESPUN card with lots of love :) With that thought in mind, I wanted to create a card that I could easily "mass produce". LOL I would love to know if you "mass produce" your Christmas/Holiday cards or do you make a "few" & purchase the rest? Be Sweet!

Here is my "Deck The Halls" card:

I really liked the soft, sweet look of the Making Memories DP. I didn't want to hide all that goodness on the paper, so I made a lil' tag to accent the Holly leafs & berries as well as the sentiment.

After inking up the PTI Holly leaf images with SU Glorious Green & stamping, I used a super sharp scissors to cut out the leafs to piece them on the tag. I gave the tag & perimeter of the card a soft- vintagey look by inking up a sponge dauber with Ranger/Tim Holtz Antique Photo ink & gently applying to the edges.
These are all the "pieces" for my cards. Being the CRAZY stamper that I am, I think this picture is sooo YUMMY looking :) All those buttons, brads, tags ....
Here are most of the supplies I used to make these Deck The Halls cards. YUMMY toys :)

Ingredients Used: Stamps: PTI Holiday Button Bits Paper: Making Memories DP, Bazzill Pomegranate, Kraft, SU Naturals Ivory Ink: SU Basic Black, Ranger/Tim Holtz Antique Photo Sprinkles: Sizzix Snowflake EF, Spellbinders Labels 1 dies, Crop A Dile 1, EK Success punch, PTI twine, Michael's ribbon, DMC floss, American Crafts buttons

Beautiful card Mona! Absolutely perfect for mass producing!! I make on average about 50 cards a year for friends and family and its a lot of work, but definitely worth it! This year I'm thinking of doing a photo card with a new picture of our family for everyone to have..haven't quite thought out the details yet but guess I should! Christmas will be here before we know it!!

Really pretty card, Mona...

I get bored mass-producing, because I do if for classes all the time, so I find myself duplicating a few cards and then moving on to the next one, duplicating that, etc....

Mass production? Never! Your cards will never "look" mass produced! This one is gorgeous! Love those holly leaves!

Absolutely beautiful cards Mona! I really have to pick a design and mass produce a few cards - I have such a hard time picking one design though :) I have to tell you - I really admire how beautifully you stage all your photos. It really is just perfect each and every time and sets off the cards so nicely. I'm in awe :) Gonna have to get me a photo tent soon :)

Yeah, it's getting closer to Christmas. You really have gotten me in the mood with this gorgeous card. I love how you did the holly leave and used those beautiful buttons! Great design choice!
Unfortunately, I tend to be "last minute" so I rarely make more than a handful of cards for friends! Mostly store-bought for me! Sorry :{

Your mini tutorial might just get me going this year with some mass produced homemade cards! You are so organized which is so not me! I'll have to give it a go though!
I love this card! Great use of those pretty buttons with the holly leaves!

Hi Mona, to answer your question, I mainly give store bought cards to my work friends and acquaintances but I hand make cards for close friends and relatives. They are usually a hit!
I love your colors and layout! You did a great job! This looks like something easy to mass produce and beautiful too!

Mona, I love your design on this card! Love those button berries and the lovely holly leaves! The way you designed it makes it easy to duplicate; very smart! I often "mass produce" Christmas cards but I am never as organzied as you are! Way to go!

Ooh I love the holly, Mona! Your cards are always so beautiful! I do handmake cards for Christmas, but I get too bored mass producing large amounts of the same design. I'll make one design for my Bible study girls, another for friends, and then my family gets unique one-of-a-kind cards.
