The Stockings Were Hung.... 31

Hi Everyone! I have to run & get my furry friends from the Groomers! I will be back later with ALL the details.... Enjoy.... Be Sweet!

I'm back with the details regarding these creations :) First, I would like to thank all of those who have already been over to see me & my fellow DT members at the new Just Us Girls Challenge site & for leaving sweet words! If you haven't visited yet, I hope you hop on over there from here & see what all the excitement is about! I would love to see what you girls have created with your time & hands!!! I managed to squeeeeze 3 challenges all in 1 to make this gift ensemble :) In no particular order, here are the challenges: 1. For technique inspiration, I used Paper piecing Just Us Girls2, JUGS2 2. For color inspiration, I used Samantha's Christmas Combo #5 & 3. For sketch inspiration, I used Mercy's Sketch #43, MTSC43. If you haven't already, I recommend you visit each & everyone of these sites for amazing inspiration! I would love to know if you have you given paper piecing a try yet? Be Sweet!

Here is what I call The Stockings Were Hung... Here is my The Stockings Were Hung...

I inked up the PTI Stocking Prints, the various stocking images with SU Regal Rose & Tempting Turquoise x2, cut them out & set aside. Using Versamark ink, I inked up the stocking "topper-trim", stamped it then sprinkled on some SU Heat & Stick powder, heated it up with a heat gun, then sprinkled on some SU ultra fine glitter & reheated to set it. Then I adhered the stocking topper to the stocking & set aside.

I adorned the PTI My Timeless Template Fold N'Go template, with brilliantly colored stockings that are hung with care using teeny tiny wooden clothespins! :)
You can see the glitter stocking topper & all the embossing from this close- up view!

Ingredients Used: Papertrey Ink My Timeless Template Fold N' Go Stamps: PTI 2008 Holiday Tag Collection, Stocking Prints Paper: SU Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White Ink: SU Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, Versamark Sprinkles: Cuttlebug Snowflake EF, buttons & brads from stash, Offray ribbon, SU glitter, tag punches, Heat & Stick powder

OMG Mona!! I absolutely adore this card! Its such a cute twist on the Christmas theme! I love how the stockings are popping out from the card, that is what makes it extra special. Your son doesn't share my enthusiasm lol but hey, he is not a woman so he doesn't get it lol.
