Many Thanks & Happy Hellos 25

Hi Everyone! T.G.I.F. :) It has been a busy week over here at Cupcake's! I was not only able to share my new position with you as a Design Team member for the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog, http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com but I have been invited to be a Guest Designer for the month of November over at the Pile it on! challenge site. A BIG Thank You to the girls over at the Pile it on! challenge site for inviting me to play with them!!! Yipee Skipee :) The Just Us Girls Challenge Blog is UP & RUNNING in FULL SWING! Be sure to stop by & grab your Blinkie!! :)

REMEMBER: Tomorrow, Saturday, October 10th there will be a new Just Us Girls challenge for YOU to play along in! Be sure to stop by here & Just Us Girls for more DT inspiration! I sure hope you girls feel inspired to join along with ALL the FUN!!!! I am looking forward to your creations! :)

I am introducing something new here at Cupcake's today called my K.I.S.S. (Keep It Sweet & Simple) card series. I realize I don't personally make a lot of cards that are easily "mass produced" so to say & with the hustle & bustle of the up-coming Holiday season right around the corner, it's more practical to create cards that can be duplicated rather quickly & efficiently! I thought maybe to help get some of you JUMP STARTED with your Holiday card making, I would come up with a card or two demonstrating how easy it can be to create several cards at once! I needed 10 Thank You cards for my girlfriends who recently helped make the Graduation party I hosted a success! :) I combined 3 challenges to make these cards, in no particular order: 1. For Color inspiration - Challenge #18 from Scrapmaster's Paradise, SPCC18 2. For Sketch inspiration - Laura's Sketch 36 from 2 Sketches 4 You, 2S4Y36 & 3. Challenge #18 - Three Dimensional from Pile it on! If you haven't already, I recommend visiting all these sites for many samples of inspiration! I would love to hear if you think this K.I.S.S. series will help you with your Holiday card making! Be Sweet!

Here are my Many Thanks & Happy Hello cards:

To make the center scalloped focal point, I inked up the SU Many Thanks image with SU Soft Suede ink, then punched it out using the 3/4" EK Success circle punch. Layered it on top of SU Dusty Durango, Not Quite Navy & DCWV white cs scalloped circles cut using Spellbinders scalloped circle nesties x 3.

I assembled the flower embellies by layering the punched flowers x 3 layers, then sewing a button right smack in the center!

Simply by bending up the edges of the middle layer of the flower embellies, makes the flowers POP off the card!

These are the tools I used: EK Success 3/4" circle & flower punches x2, Fiskars scalloped edge punch, SU Soft Suede ink & stamps, Spellbinders Scalloped nesties, Lasting Impressions paper piercer.

Here are MOST of the supplies needed to make the next 9 cards! The actual 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card & layers are not shown.

Ingredients Used: Stamps: SU Lots of Thoughts Paper: My Mind's Eye DP, SU Soft Suede, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Dusty Durango Ink: SU Soft Suede Sprinkles: Spellbinder's Scalloped Circle nesties, EK Success punches, Fiskars punch, Michael's ribbon, buttons & floss from stash

Super awesome cards, Mona! Do you ever create an ugly design! These a fabulous! I know I sound like a broken record (vinyl LP's for those too young) but congratulations again for all your recognition! Well deserved!

Great tutorial. You really do make this stuff look easy! Still, I'm sure it takes alot of talent to make consistently fascinating stuff like you do. These two cards are really cute!
Now, I just have to say, Whoooohooo Yippeee! I think it's cool that you have been sucked up by an awesome allstar design team and now you have been invited to be a guest designer at a rockin' challenge site as well. Is it something in the water you're drinking lately or just something else? I say, it's about time, my blog girl gets her due!
