Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! It's the start of Stamptember over at Simon Says Stamp and I really hope you'll join us for a month long stamp party full of inspiration and celebrations. It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week's challenge theme is: bold stamping. Make a statement with bright ink, a large stamp, or otherwise be bold in your stamping! Whether you take a big chance in your art journal or try stamping onto a nearly finished project- we can’t wait to see.
I was inspired to create a page in her art journal using a bold color palette along with a lot of bold stamping.
I had so much fun challenging myself to create an art journal page using a bold and bright color palette with Distress Paints including broken china and picked raspberry.
The colors are so vibrant and seem to jump right off the page!
After applying many layers of paint, I added various bold stamped images using the following stamp sets: Stuff to Say, Papillion and Fairytale Frenzy.
I might just have to step outside my pastel comfort zone again sometime soon!
Many thanks for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT has created!

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week's challenge theme is: "Witch ~ Kraft". We’re a bit early with this one, but the word play combined with getting a jump on fall decor and a new color palette has us eager! Team member Sandra dreamed this one - in her words ”a challenge for Halloween. I love the word play, I love Kraft and I love Halloween.” What magic will you work with kraft? Or will your project be more witchy? Whether themed or color based - you can hop on your broom and fly a lot of directions with this one…
I was inspired to get crafty with a Kraft tag:
I LOVE anything Kraft and when you combine a Kraft tag with a Postcard texture fade along with a hint of picket fence paint, you get magic!
Embellished with several Kraft Glassine flowers makes for a wonderful multi Kraft toned project.

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! Scott and I made the road trip to the Los Angeles area to help move Connor into his college dorm room this weekend:
while in the area, we visited THE Rose Bowl Stadium:
and THE Prima Outlet Warehouse Store:
I brought some of my crafting supplies on our trip and didn't touch them until tonight. I made an art journal page:
I created the background using a variety of acrylic paints along with a Gelli plate:
and various stencils including the Fishnet and the Petal Circles:
For theme inspiration, I joined along with the Mixed Media Place Summer Music challenge Vol. 2 where we are challenged to create a project inspired by Adele's song ~ Rolling in the Deep. My tag features lyrics from her song ~ "you had my heart":
For color inspiration, I joined along with the current ColourQ challenge:
Thanks so much for visiting!

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week's challenge theme is: Anything Goes!
I was inspired to get inky and create a mixed media greeting card:

Creating mixed media greeting cards isn't something I do regularly so I challenged myself to do just that. I created lots of texture on the background using texture paste along with the Latticework stencil. I had fun adding splashes of various color including broken china and vintage photo

Hi there! I hope you are having an awesome weekend! Angie and I had some girl time last night and we both made a project to share. First up is a hanging that Angie made using beautiful Pion Design patterned papers from the A Day in May collection:
As you can see, Angie and I have very similar taste especially when it comes to shabby / vintage beautiful things! Angie layered various papers, stitched around the pretty image and hand stitched the buttons in place. Angie turned to the MOJO Monday sketch for inspiration and to the Sunday Stamper ~ which is A Natural Women for theme inspiration:
She topped off the hanging with a cluster of flowers and sentiment:
Recently I had to let some DT commitments go because I was nearly at the point of burn out creating one card after another merely to meet a deadline or DT requirement. I have been really enjoying my hobby again, simply creating what inspires me at the moment. With that being said, next up is an art journal page that I made featuring a sweet owl that I painted using lots of layers of paints, stencils, stamping and a rub on:
To create this page, I first made the background using my Gelli plate, paints and stencils. I'm trying to get more fluent at painting eyes but I had A LOT of difficulty on this little one and basically gave in because the clock was chiming 2:00 am but I didn't want to throw in the towel at that point!
Up close, you can get a look at the layers and stenciled detail:
It's all about the layers! The fun stamps are new to my stash and are designed by an amazing talented designer named Kasia.
Admittedly, the color orange is one of my least favorite, (right up there with red), to create with so I worked real hard at using minimal :) The sentiment is a rub on from my stash.
For color inspiration, I joined along with the current ColourQ color challenge:
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hi there! Any big weekend plans? Not much planned here, just some R & R and hopefully some crafting ;) Today I have a couple Christmas cards to share featuring pretty papers from the Pion Design Days of Winter collection ~ a pink and a blue version. First up is the pink version:
I die cut beautiful papers from 6 x 6" Days of Winter papers using Spellbinders dies then matted on top of a layer that was stamped / heat embossed using Tim Holtz snowflake stamps:
I embellished with a die cut rolled rose, snowflake, pretty crocheted doily and scalloped trim:
next up, is the blue version:
featuring another beautiful image from 6 x 6" Days of Winter papers:
both sentiments are from the Tim Holtz Simple Sayings stamp set:
Here's a collage of close-ups:
For theme inspiration, I joined along with the current Sunday Stamper A Natural Women challenge where the theme is: NATUAL COLOURS & ELEMENTS where you can interpret the challenge how you like: using your favourite neutral tones and natural colours and for sketch inspiration, I joined along with MOJO Monday.

Thanks so much for visiting ~ I hope you have a fun and safe weekend!
Be Sweet ;)
