Gingerbread peeps...JRC_056 37

Mona Pendleton | Friday, August 12, 2011 @ 5:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! I'm so happy that it's Friday, I have the day off from work and it's time for an all new JustRite Stampers Friday Challenge!!! For the next two weeks, the challenge theme will be ~ Christmas in August and you MUST create a SHAPED card or tag.
I created a few ornament shaped tags featuring a sweet gingerbread girl and boy from Seasoned with Love. This set contains TWELVE images that can all be easily mixed and matched allowing for endless combinations! I stamped the gingerbread peeps using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic markers then cut using a Spellbinders Standard Circles SM die template. I stamped and embossed the pretty decorative frosting like image then adhered the gingerbread image on top. The little heart was made using a die from JustRite Stampers Charm Dies and the Baked with Love sentiment is from Charmed Set - Cling.
The little gingerbread boy tag is a bit different. I changed things up a bit and used a different decorative border from Seasoned with Love:
and I used a star die template from Charm Dies and inked up the Made just for You sentiment from Charmed Set - Cling:
I couldn't resist taking a pic of them side by side! I didn't have enough ginger cookies in the pantry to fill 2 jars so here are the tags by themselves. Don't they look sweet?
I used the same combination of Copic markers shown below to color both images:
Here's a look at the complete 2" Seasoned with Love set:
and here is a look at the Charm Dies:
That's all for today~thanks so much for visiting :) Please be sure to visit the JustRite Inspiration Blog to see some awesome inspiration from several other DT members and for COMPLETE challenge details! Can't wait to see what you create!
