Something to CELEBRATE...BBB12 59

Happy 4th of July, (aka United States Independence Day), to all who celebrate! Are you doing something fun and exciting or simply enjoying a relaxing day at home with your family and friends? I am celebrating something exciting in my crafty world! I am honored and thrilled to share with all of you that Julie Koerber, DT Coordinator of the Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful monthly challenge has invited me to join the DT filled with fabulous and talented designers!!! YAHOOO!!!! Of course I said YES! :)

So I am here today to share with you what I made for my first assignment as a DT Member. The challenge for the month of July is: The beauty of Summer and/or Vacation. As summer is in full swing we are enjoying the warmer temperatures and many are going on vacation here in the USA. Make a creation with the theme of summer or vacation and link up your Bringing Back Beautiful Challenge creation here to enter. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword BBB12. You have until July 31st to enter! As we unveil our challenge for next month, we’ll share our True Beauties – those card makers who wowed us with this challenge! Winners will be featured on the Flourishes Blog and will receive a True Beauty blog button to display proudly on their blog!

I found it fitting to create a Patriotic themed card in observance of the 4th of July celebration today using darling pennant images from Flourishes Birthday Pennants which coordinate perfectly with Spellbinders™ Nested Pennants die templates. One of my fondest summer memories of growing up in the small suburban town of Orchard Park, NY was the local town 4th of July parade and fireworks show! Seemed like EVERYONE in town lined the streets for the event and there was quite a sense of community.

I also played along with this week's Stampin' Royalty challenge which is to create a project that showcases your Patriotic Pride.
