Tulip Time 43

Hi there! YAHOOOO! The weekend is almost under way~do you have any BIG plans? Not much going on around here just a small birthday celebration for my step son Connor who turned 15 on Wednesday :) Along with some girly gifts my sweetie gave me a bouquet of Tulips, (my favorite flowers), for Valentine's Day. I took a few photos of the gorgeous Tulips to share with you. Below is a pic taken in the light tent:
verses natural light:

and another taken in natural light:
These beauties were the source of inspiration of the Easter card I made last night:
For sketch inspiration, I played along with the awesome Cardabilities Sketch #25.
I used the Dryer Sheet Technique on this card for a softer look:
and shown below is a pic of the Copic markers I used:
So what's your favorite flower? That's all I have for today~thanks for looking. I'll be back tomorrow with an all new Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge~hope to see you then :)

I love tulips too but have to say that daffodils are my fav! a true harbinger of spring when the street vendors in Boston have the dafs for sale in their buckets as I pass by on my way to work!

Beautiful Mona - love the added booknote under your image, the dryer sheet tech adds that nice soft touch. Lovely tulips too! My favorite flowers are the Peony and Lilac - both remind me very much of my grandparents.

Oh my gosh I just love the softness of that image. It is hard to mute down copics for a shabby chic look I find but this is perfect. I have no idea what a dryer sheet is though....here in Australia we obviously don't use them....or I don't at least. Must go and investigate....thanks Mona. Cheers!
