Season's Greetings 25

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, December 9, 2009 @ 10:00 PM | , , ,

Hi Girls! Thank you for Scott's Happy Birthday wishes :) I am honored to be this week's Guest Designer at The Play Date Cafe & for the week of December 23rd. For those of you who are not familiar with The Play Date Cafe, it is a WEEKLY Creativity (Color) Challenge site. When you visit the Cafe, you will find MANY BEAUTIFUL creations offered by the Design Team Members that will surely get your creative MOJO in motion & you will be eligible to become the next Guest Designer! This week Alison is the lovely Hostess who has challenged us to use these stunningly VIBRANT colors! Alison chose the color combo: Red, Lime Green, and Bright Pink. Alison can be quoted saying, "I just love the way these three colors compliment each other so well yet they create such a fun and funky pallet to play with." Fun & Funky they are indeed! Please be sure to visit The Play Date Cafe as well as ALL the Design Team members personal blogs for complete details on how they made their creations. Thanks for looking! Be Sweet!

Here is my offering:
I combined The Play Date Cafe Creativity Challenge #8, PDCC08 with this week's iheart2stamp.com, SFYTT, fun sketch challenge.
I pulled out my brayer, inked it up with SU Pixie Pink ink & rolled it right on to my Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder! If you haven't tryed this technique, you really don't know what you are missing! You can create ANY color of embossed paper that your little heart desires!!! :)
For the ornament, I inked up an image from the PTI Vintage Ornament set with SU Pixie Pink then cut it out & set it aside. I inked up a decorative layer from the same set with VersaMark ink & embossed with silver embossing powder then cut it out. As a final touch, I used some tiny glue dots to adhere a few red Darice crystals.

Ingredients Used: Stamps: PTI Vintage Ornaments, SU To You & Yours Paper: K&Company DP, SU Green Galore, Pixie Pink, PTI Pure Poppy Ink: Ranger Tea Dye, VersaMark Sprinkles: Spellbinders Scalloped Circles & Circles, Cuttlebug Circle die, Snowflake & Swiss Dots embossing folders, EK Success circle punch, silver embossing powder & button from stash, Making Memories hardware, Offray ribbon, Darice crystals
