Hello! It's time for a new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge! This week, Beate is our lovely hostess and she is challenging us to create a project using one of Flourishes beautiful FLORAL images.
For this week's challenge, I made a card for my dear girlfriend whom recently had surgery.
I stamped the beautiful bouquet of Zinnias from the Zinnias stamp set on a piece of Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock then colored with a combination of Copic Markers. The lovely sentiment is from the Calla Lilies stamp set.
Here's a photo of the eclipse taken by my dear hubby Scott Sunday night. We had an awesome view here in Phoenix!
For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current Pals Paper Arts challenge:

Cherish the moment...CR84FN54#2 59

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, May 19, 2012 @ 8:55 PM |

Hello! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend! Here with a second project for the CR84FN54 Color Challenge. There is still nearly a week left to play, so don't be afraid of the blue and green color combo! :) LOL
For this week's sample, I made a layout featuring photos of Scott and Connor that were taken underwater while on a diving excursion. I even journaled AND I managed NOT to use even a single flower of sorts!
I used a combination of paints, inks, sprays and molding paste all on top of a fun piece of paper from the Pink Paislee Mistables collection.
I took on The Second Floor Challenge and challenged myself NOT to use flowers (which nearly killed me by the way) and I focused on the circles which were inspired by the bubbles made by Scott and Connor underwater :) Those bad boys were created with molding paste, a stencil, ink and paint:
For sketch inspiration, I played along with current Creative Scrappers sketch challenge:
Did you happen to notice the journaling tag on the layout? I journaled on the label using the Vintage typewriter Circa 1930 that Scott surprised me with on Mother's Day :)
Here are a few additional photos from Mother's Day:

A Family of Cameos 34

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, May 16, 2012 @ 7:32 AM | , , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are all having a great week! I mentioned last week that I will be teaching a few card making classes at one of my favorite paper crafting stores ~ Paper Tales which is like a unique boutique paperie sort of store that is located in San Diego, CA. Classes are going to be held Friday, May 25th and Saturday, May 26th. You can find complete information HERE.

Today, I am sharing the set of cards that we will be making on Saturday, May 26th. In this class, we will be playing with pretty patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, die cut elements from Spellbinders, stamps and dies from My Favorite Things. We will be learning how to make rolled paper roses.
Thanks so much for visiting! If you live near Paper Tales and would like to have some fun or just go shopping in an eclectic store, please be sure to stop by! Be Sweet :)
