ART 45

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend so far! Today I have a layout to share featuring a photo of a gorgeous work of art that was taken in the Louvre museum while we were vacationing in Paris:
For color inspiration, I joined along with the September Prima Product Pick challenge:
I combined fun patterned papers from the Prima Cartographer collection along with several Prima Trinkets and a variety of Prima flowers:
To add additional interest to the background, I used a Prima stamp and a Prima stencil along with various paints and embossing enamel:
I topped the layout off with Prima crystals:
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the Scrap Africa challenge. I'm also entering this layout in the current Craft Hoarder's Challenge where the theme is All The Pretty Flowers:
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great weekend!
Be Sweet ;)

Hi there! I hope you are having a great week! Today I have a few Fall inspired projects to share.
I'm not a big fan of the color orange so I painted the decorative pumpkin using a shade of blue chalk paint followed with an application of dark wax:
Both the tag and card were created using a combination of PTI stamps, My Favorite Things/Die-namics, Spellbinders and Sizzix dies:
It's been years since I inked up the fun Halloween set from PTI ~ an oldie but a goldie:
I went with the chalkboard technique for the sentiment tags:
Here's a pumpkin that Angie painted using a shade of gray chalk paint :)
Also topped off with a chalkboard technique sentiment tag:

For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge:
Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you have a great day / evening!

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! Stamptember is in full swing over at Simon Says Stamp and I really hope you'll join us for a month long stamp party full of inspiration and celebrations. It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week we are having a blog hop starting with Andrea's blog and the challenge theme is: to use a Simon Says Stamp exclusive product (s):

For my projects, I made a couple tags featuring a variety of Simon Says Stamp Exclusive products. The background texture on the tag shown below, was created using the DIAMOND CIRCLES stencil:
Including the following: beautiful stamped butterflies from Butterfly Friends and coordinating dies:
a delicate DANVILLE WREATH:
Next up is another tag featuring even more Simon Says Stamp Exclusive products!
The textured background was created using the BLOCKED CIRCLES stencil:
I embellished with a stamped butterfly from Butterfly Friends along with a LARGE HEART DOILY:
Here's how I created the backgrounds:

Step 1: Apply Texture Paste using the DIAMOND CIRCLES and BLOCKED CIRCLES stencils:
Step 2: Allow to dry then add colors of choice using Distress Stains and water:

Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. For more than 10 years we have celebrated rubber stamping and its glory. We work to bring companies from around the world together in a one stop shopping environment. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a “STAMPtember®" event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the delight of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complementing ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media and many forms of altering and expressing art.

Many thanks for stopping by! If you are hopping along, please be sure to visit Sandra as well as the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog to begin the hop.

Be Sweet ;)
