Sun & Sand 55

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, August 30, 2011 @ 6:12 PM | ,

Hi there! Hope you are all having a great week thus far! For those of you who have been visiting me for awhile you may recall that I shared some pretty exciting news waaaaay back in December 2010 (click HERE for ORIGINAL post). In case you forgot ;), I was offered an AMAZING opportunity to Guest Design for Pink Paislee in 2011! YAHOOOOO!!!! A dream come true! Well, I recently received a box overflowing with FABULOUS Pink Paislee products ~ a crafty girl's dream come true! "My time" is rapidly approaching and before we know it, it will be here so in the meantime I thought I better pull out some of those AWESOME products and work on polishing my papercrafting skills! Have you seen the Pink Paislee DT's mad skills??? sigh...BIG shoes to stand next to!
I'm quite sure you didn't come here to hear my ramble on! I have a few projects to share using many pretty products from the Pink Paislee Nantucket Collection. First up is a LO featuring Meri posing so proudly with her surfboard:
The Nantucket Collection is FULL of MANY fun and pretty products which include but is not limited to beautiful patterned paper, wood chips, stamps, ephemera, ribbon trims, etc... To create my LO, I combined various patterned paper from the 12" x 12" paper pack with a trading card, a clear stamp and several pieces of ephemera. Up close, you can see the beautiful detailed embossed images on the trading card and for a bit of interest, I randomly stitched along some of the stems on the fauna piece from the ephemera:
I made 3 fan fold embellishments using a variety of patterned paper:
For color inspiration, I played along with Pink Paislee's August Hot hues Color Challenge. Be sure to visit both the Pink Paislee blog and the Live Pink gallery for some awesome inspiration!
For sketch inspiration, I referred to the PageMaps sketch shown on the Pink Paislee blog:
and for those of you who are not the scrappy type, I made a card to share as well :) I made this card for my sweet sister Tina. We ride our bicycles together nearly every weekend so when I saw this trading card, I immediately knew it was meant for her :) In fact, we are going on a girls ONLY 4 day weekend together in San Diego! Yep, we are packing up my 4 legged furry friends, their stroller, our bikes and we are going to spend Labor Day weekend hiking and biking around San Diego and Coronado Island. I'm really looking forward to our little getaway :) Do you have any fun filled weekend plans?
Again, a combination of pretty papers, a stamped image and an amazingly detailed trading card. FUN! FUN!
For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge. For some awesome inspiration, be sure to check out the site!
Thanks so much for visiting ~ hope you have fun whatever you do! Be Sweet!

Hi there! Welcome to the JustRite Stampers September Release Day #3 of 3. In case you missed my prior posts from the last TWO days, members of the JustRite DT and myself have been sharing projects made using stamps from the September Release which include: Bon Voyage - ClingGreetings From Paris - Cling and Shabby Chic Labels Four - Cling. Today we are focusing on the Shabby Chic Labels Four - Cling stamp set however, since ALL three of these sets may be so easily mixed and matched and coordinate beautifully together, my project contains various images from all three. WARNING: this post contains ALOT of photos, so I hope you grab your beverage of choice and enjoy :) I made an 8"x8" cloth covered chipboard mini album of a trip Scott and I took to Paris, France. Picking up from where we left off yesterday, we'll start with a large tag "page".
Side 1: features a postcard made using a Spellbinders Custom Nested Frame die template then was stamped using a postage image from Greetings From Paris:

Photo taken of CU detail of The Arc de Triomphe
Side 2: Since so many of JustRite Stampers images coordinate so well together. I incorporated stamps from various sets as well. I stamped a sentiment from Rejoice then framed it with a gorgeous ornate label from Signs of Life then cut/embossed using a Spellbinders Labels Three die template:

I love how the postage stamp image from Greetings From Paris fits perfectly within a Melissa Frances Vintage embellishment frame:

A JustRite Stampers Paris mini 50

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, August 23, 2011 @ 5:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! Welcome to the JustRite Stampers September Release Day #1. Over the next THREE days, members of the JustRite DT and myself will be sharing projects made using stamps from the September Release which include: Bon Voyage - Cling, Greetings From Paris - Cling and Shabby Chic Labels Four - Cling. Today we are focusing on the Bon Voyage - Cling stamp set however, since ALL three of these sets may be so easily mixed and matched and coordinate beautifully together, my project contains various images from all three. WARNING: this post contains ALOT of photos, so I hope you grab your beverage of choice and enjoy :) I made an 8"x8" cloth covered chipboard mini album of a trip Scott and I took to Paris, France. Let's start with the cover:
Photo taken at the base of the Eiffel Tower
Love the fancy label from Greetings From Paris. Contains an image of the Eiffel Tower and a collage of various French inspired words ie: foods, places, paintings, etc... Coordinates flawlessly with a Spellbinders Labels Four die template. I layered this one on top of a label cut using a Spellbinders Labels Four SM die template:
A post card made using a Spellbinders Custom Nested Frame die template then stamped using various postage images from Bon Voyage and Greetings From Paris:
Love how the Paris sentiment from Greetings From Paris fits perfectly inside an altered Tim Holtz ornate frame:
Page 1:
Photos of Scott and I taken from a bridge crossing The River Seine
To make the label, I stamped the Enjoy Life's Simple Moments sentiment from Signs of Life using Memento Tuxedo Black ink then inked up the beautiful image from Bon Voyage with PTI Melon Berry ink, centered and stamped framing the sentiment. I used a Spellbinders Labels Six die template to cut/emboss the image then layered on top of a label cut using a Spellbinders Labels Twenty die template:
Page 2:

Love how the Bonjour sentiment from Bon Voyage fits perfectly inside of a Melissa Frances Vintage frame:
An acrylic tag embellishment made using a postage image from Bon Voyage:

Another altered Tim Holtz ornate frame showcasing the fancy LOVE sentiment from Shabby Chic Labels Four:

Photo taken inside The Louvre Museum of The Winged Victory Samothrace
Side 2: I stamped the Eiffel Tower image from Bon Voyage then cut it out by hand and adhered to a label. I couldn't resist making a tag featuring the From Paris with Love sentiment from Greetings From Paris which was cut using a Spellbinders Fancy Tags One die template.
