Irises

Hi! I hope you are having a great weekend! Today I have a couple of oil painted Irises to share that I painted on an 8" x 8" canvas panel inspired by Nancy Medina:
Lovin' all the vibrant transparent colors in the underpainting but I'm not thrilled with the colors of the Iris on the left. Practice, practice, practice...

    I think irises would be so difficult to paint with their curved petals and frilly edges. You've done a remarkable job, Mona!
