luminescent hydrangeas

Hi there! I hope all is well with you. I'm currently participating in a painting 5 week e-course called Painting Brilliant Colors with one of my favorite artists ~ Nancy Medina. I fell in love with Nancy's use of brilliant colors and impressionist style. Today I have an 11" x 14" painting to share featuring luminescent hydrangeas. 
It's quite challenging for me to paint hydrangeas without making them look like a big snow ball or cloud. Can't wait to try this one again!

  12. So incredible. I feel as though I could put my hand in and pluck a hydrangea from that gorgeous vase...stunning work as always!! Love the intricacy on the the vase...and yummy layers for the flowers..wow just wow. Your use of colour is amazing!

  14. Believe me, Mona...your hydrangeas do not look like snowballs! When I first saw the painting, I thought you were giving us a peek at the artist's painting...as it turns out YOU are the artist! Love the vase...love the vibrant and contrasting colors.
