Hi! I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! This morning Tina and I went for a hike on San Tan mountain which is located nearly in my backyard. I was practicing my painting skills last night as I painted along with a Gary Jenkins video to create this 12" x 12" piece:
This lesson was all about luminosity. I admittedly got a bit carried away as I was having fun painting all the foliage :) LOL Orange is my least favorite color and wish I had used more yellow in the background. Practice, practice, practice...
I'm joining along with the current Paint Party Friday link up:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Be Sweet ;)

I think that this orage, even though your least favorite color, complement the rest of the color palette real well...G
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous painting Mona!!!
Have a great rest of this fabulous day!

This looks so PRETTY!
ReplyDeleteGreat work.
I had never thought about what it takes to make an image luminous. I loved seeing the colors and strokes you used to achieve this. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAwesome painting Mona. Funny you dont like orange that much. But here it is just a perfect match. I like orange a lot. But not enough to use in my wardrope. But together with other colors I find it to be an exciting color.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your progres. I'm not a painting artist... But to my knowledge you have progressed a lot since the first paintings you shared. I find your work amazing, pretty and fascinaoting.

ReplyDeleteYour artwork is amazing and is really so beautiful! ;-)
ReplyDeleteMore beauty! As much as I like Garys floral paintings, I much prefer your style. There is something crisper and more unique and stylized about yours... I also love the way you marry colour. Keep being you... I truly think you are so gifted!

ReplyDeleteMona,
ReplyDeleteAppears you have many talents! As much as I'd love to have a knack for painting, it just does not come naturally to me. I went to an evening paint party and was a little embarassed with my " work of art." Lol! Your rose is beautiful and the colors are stunning.
