Happy August! I'm trying to get in touch with my mixed media side more, try new techniques, revisit old ones and play with the products I've been hoarding collecting. So I created a layout featuring a photo of my sweet daughter Angie while combining some of my favorite inks, paints, stencils, stamps, dies, etc...

I started with a plain 12 x 12 piece of watercolor paper which I absolutely LOVE! It's strong, holds all the wet mediums with minimal warping and provides a blank slate allowing for 100% creative freedom.
I die cut a clock and gears from grungeboard then applied various acrylic paints:

I added lots of texture and design using Ranger texture paste along with the Petal Pattern stencil and for color, I used a variety of 13arts inks:

I embellished with various flowers from my stash along with a resin bicycle and my journaled about Angie's bicycling: (you can read all about my little star HERE :)

For theme and color inspiration, I joined along with the CSI133 challenge:

This is how I interpreted the case:

Color: All colors used

Evidence: polka dots, clothespins, flowers, paint/watercolor, tie something

Testimony: I incorporated the Inspo Words: oh, delight 

and for sketch inspiration, I joined along with the Sketchabilities sketch challenge

as well as the Mixed Media Place Summer Music Vol. 1  ~ Freedom challenge

My interpretation of freedom within this layout is using a blank piece of watercolor paper allowing 100% creative freedom.
