Hi there! I'm here today to celebrate Christmas in July! Yesterday, Pion Design revealed the release of their newest collection ~ Days of Winter. In Pion's words ~ "Days of Winter is a collection capturing the essence of Winter and Christmas inspired by a snow-covered village of old times. With images and patterns of ice skaters on a frozen lake, calming walks through a silent landscape, delicate snowflakes, Christmas trees and Winter birds you will be given the opportunity to pass on the holiday spirit to all those precious to you."
When I received the box full of this beautiful collection, I couldn't wait to create! I made a holiday themed wall hanging featuring a gorgeous image from Lilly and Siri:
I combined the beautiful image with several layers other pretty papers from the Days of Winter collection then layered all on top of a piece of cut to size corrugated cardboard. I heat embossed enamel along the edges to create a snowy / frosted look:
I embellished with a few die cut pieces of foliage, doily, snowflakes and a variety of flowers from my stash. The sentiment is from Starry Christmas:
I am entering this in the current Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge where the challenge is to feature some sort of embossing on your project.
Many thanks for visiting ~ I hope you enjoy your weekend!
Be Sweet ;)
