Hi! The past week has been a little hectic around here. Scott and I took a trip to San Francisco to visit my dear son Jerry and sweet DIL April. While we were there, we walked around the beautiful San Francisco Botanical Gardens and Rose Garden which are located in the Golden Gate Park. I went a little photo crazy taking LOTS of inspiration photos to add to my "to paint" library ;) Here are just a few photos from the rose garden and a couple from the Botanical Gardens:
my favorite cactus in the Botanical Gardens:
Next I have a 12" x 12" painting to share that I painted for my dear friend Heather which was inspired by Gary Jenkins:
Here's a couple step shots that I took along the way:
and here are some close ups of the pink roses:
I'm linking this painting to Paint Party Friday:
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Gorgeous vase of flowers Mona. Love the images from the gardens, ours won't be in bloom for a while yet. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteYour roses are all so fantastic!
ReplyDeletePink roses are my favorite & your canvas is gorgeous, Mona! My sis lives in the Bay area & they just visited Golden Gate Park--I think for the first time. She wants to go back & spend more time--maybe we'll do it next time I visit. That cactus is amazing--nothing I've ever seen! Don't forget--Portland is the City of Roses & has a gorgeous rose garden--& we could meet for lunch!
