BEST wishes 39

Mona Pendleton | Friday, August 28, 2015 @ 11:45 PM | , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! Today I have a rather clean and simple card to share featuring a beautiful dream catcher. My sweet daughter Angie loves dream catchers so I surprised her with this card :)
To create this card, I embossed a piece of water color paper then added pink and blue inks from my stash then embellished with the Spellbinders die cut dream catcher. The sentiment is from PTI.
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the Pals Paper Arts challenge:
and for color inspiration, I joined along with the color throwdown color challenge:
Many thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great weekend!

celebrate... 27

Hi there! Today on the Prima blog, many members of the Prima family are celebrating Prima's CEO and woman extraordinaire Pom's Birthday!
We were challenged to create a 4" x 6" tag for the special occasion:
I layered and distressed pretty paper from the Royal Menagerie collection and added texture using the Forget Me Not stencil along with Heavy White Gesso. For a splash of color, I randomly applied Glistening Waves Color Bloom Spray:
Once the background was complete, I embellished with pretty blossoms from the Royal Menagerie collection:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the Prima blog and wish Pom a Happy Birthday!

Sending Hugs... 26

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, August 22, 2015 @ 10:54 PM |

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! I have been looking at my long time neglected PTI stamps and decided to create a non-mixed media style card. With 3 children now living out of state: Jerry and my DIL April working in San Francisco, Connor attending college in Los Angeles and Meredith attending college in New York City, I thought a card featuring PTI's fun suitcases would be great to have on hand to send anyone of them :)
For color inspiration, I joined along with the ColourQ colour challenge:
And for sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current Freshly Made Skteches sketch challenge:

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great Sunday!

I never tire of the Venetian scenery:
I added lots of texture and design using a brick wall stencil along with modeling paste. Once dry, I splashed on Sea Foam Shimmering Mist
I randomly stamped several coffee stain images using Prima Coffee Stains stamps then embellished with a variety of flowers, metal trinkets and die cut foliage:
