Hi there! I hope you are having a great week. Today it's my turn to share a project on the 13arts blog. I made a layout featuring a photo of Scott and I that was taken while we were vacationing in London several years ago:
I combined pretty papers from the 13arts Cold Wall Collection
Frosted Life Collection and Faces of Spring Collection then for added texture and design, I applied Modeling Paste to the background:
Once dry, I embellished with Pearl Silver painted die cut gears, die cut foliage and a variety of blossoms:

for the title, I applied Pearl Silver Acrylic Paint to a chipboard Timeless Subtitle:

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week's theme is to create a project featuring an Artsy Stamp! It might be a background, a hand-drawn image, a sketchy texture stamp, or a special saying. We challenge you this week to get out your artsy stamps and play!
I created a card featuring a Tim Holtz artsy image as the focal point on a paintmarbled background.
I was so excited to ink up the fun butterfly image from Fairytale Frenzy with Archival Jet Black ink for this challenge. All the drips extending from the butterfly image mimicking dripping wet paint screams artsy to me, how about you? The colorful paintmarbled background was created using a combination of tarnished brass, brushed pewter and antiqued bronze Distress Paints.
I finished off the card with layered Tatttered Flower along with a sentiment from Simple Sayings:

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Suzanne is in the mood for flowers so it got May thinking about all of the really great botanical patterns from Tim Holtz, butterflies floating around the warm spring sunshine and flowers just waiting to bloom. So what are you waiting for? Find your botanical bliss and join us!
I was inspired to create a wall hanging feature a flower garden scene.
Living in the desert heat in Arizona, I don't have much of a flower garden but I sure had one in my mind that I couldn't wait to put in art form. I die cut a piece of Grungeboard using the Vintage Cabinet Card die, applied a layer of Gesso, allowed to dry then stamped and heat embossed the beautiful botanical image from Fairytale Frenzy
To make the embossed image pop, I applied various Distress Inks
A flower garden wouldn't be complete without a white fence so I used the Lattice die to cut a piece of Grungeboard which I applied Picket Fence Distress Paint as well as a coat of Rock Candy
My imagination went running wild with the Botanical Bliss theme which inspired me to add a trio of die blooms that were made using the Tattered Pinecone die.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT has created!

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! Scott and I are away on vacation at our home away from home in San Diego, CA. I frantically packed a craft travel bag / suitcase full of supplies to play with during the evenings when we are both too tired to do anything else. I knew I wanted to join along with Prima's May Build-A-Page sketch challenge, so I packed lots of Prima goodies.
I made a layout featuring a couple of photos of Meredith and Connor that were taken more than 10 years ago. They weren't even in school yet and now Connor is graduation from high school in 2 weeks and Meredith will be a Senior next year! YIKES! Time sure flies!
To create the background, I started with a pretty piece of patterned paper from the Prima Princess collection, added lots of texture and paints then embellished with a variety of Prima flowers:
resin embellishments including the butterflies and key:
typo bulbs along with rub-ons from my stash:
For color inspiration I joined along with the current ColourQ challenge:
Thank you for visiting - I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hi there! I'm so excited to be joining along with the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #2! The challenge is based on the new book by Tim Holtz! One of the challenge guidelines is that ALL participants should work from their own copy of A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3. This is required out of respect and appreciation for Tim, who put countless hours and passion into writing the book. If you don’t have a copy, you can order one directly from Tim, who will even autograph it for you :)
Challenge #2 is to use Distress Glitter ~ the "how to" may be found on page 56:
In case you missed my post for the first challenge (click HERE), I've decided to create a book for this challenge.

My second page features a photo of myself standing in front of the Eiffel Tower while vacationing in France. I used a couple different colors of beautiful Distress Glitter on my page:
I adhered a layer of pretty antique linen Distress Glitter to a die cut grungeboard butterfly:
and I dipped the homemade rose in Clear Rock Candy Glitter which I think resembles a coating of sugar.
I'm also entering this into I am also entering this in the Sunday Stamper challenge where Hels is challenging us to feature the color PINK.
Many thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great weekend!
