July WMS July Previews Day #3 60

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, June 30, 2011 @ 12:00 AM | , ,

Welcome to July Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews Day #3! As a friendly reminder, Claire will be releasing EIGHT new stamp sets on Friday, July 1st! Today, we are all previewing You're Lovely, Eat Cake, and Flourishes - Scallops and Dots

These 3 sets have quite a variety of images that may all be so easily mixed and matched. To create my card, I stamped the elegant dress form from You're Lovely, colored with a Copic marker, paper pieced the solid bodice piece then adhered to form with a 3D foam dot for added dimension.  I dressed up the scalloped oval shape by stamping a teeny flower image from Eat Cake in each little scallop. I stamped a few gorgeous flourishes from Flourishes - Scallops and Dot then adhered the dress form/oval piece in place.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be back tomorrow with the final previews. Hope to see you then :) For some amazing inspiration, please be sure to see what Claire and the rest of the DT has created:

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, June 29, 2011 @ 12:00 AM | , ,

WOW! Thanks for all the kind comments yesterday on my projects showcasing Waltzingmouse's Cameo to GoCameo Creations and Ovals, Classic Frames stamp sets! I hope you are all excited about them as I am! Welcome to July Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews Day #2! In case you missed yesterdays post, Claire will be releasing EIGHT new stamp sets on Friday, July 1st & for the next 2 days, Claire, the Waltzingmouse DT & myself will be sharing some awesome samples of inspiration showcasing these amazing stamps! Today, we are all previewing Big Day Essentials and/or Big Day Additions.
I made this rather CAS card featuring a gorgeous sentiment from Big Day Additions which is full of so many wonderful sentiments in an elegant font. Pretty straight forward with this one: I stamped the sentiment on some pretty patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Collection, added a die cut heart, Kaisercraft flower, lovely seam binding bow and finished it off with a bit of stitching.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be back tomorrow with Day #3 previews. Hope to see you then :) For some amazing inspiration, please be sure to see what Claire and the rest of the DT has created:

July WMS July Previews Day #1 75

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, June 28, 2011 @ 12:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! Welcome to July Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews Day #1! Claire will be releasing EIGHT new stamp sets on Friday, July 1st & for the next 3 days, Claire, the Waltzingmouse DT & myself will be sharing some awesome samples of inspiration showcasing these amazing stamps!  Today, we are all previewing Cameo to Go, Cameo Creations and Ovals, Classic Frames (*main project does not showcase an image from the Ovals, Classic Frames but the collection of cameos shown below does*).
Today I am sharing a small paper mache house that I decorated turning it into an elegant gift box full of toiletries for a house guest:

(Note: you can rotate this image 360 degrees by doing the following... Within the photo, click and drag your mouse pointer to the left or right to spin the box! You can also use the left and right arrows on your keyboard or use the left and right arrows icons. You can also zoom in or out to get a better view of the box by using the (+) and (-) icons. Lastly, you can simply press the Play icon (circular arrow) to rotate the box automatically. Give it a try!)

To create the tag, I stamped a darling sweet girl image from Cameo Creations, using the dryer sheet technique I cut/embossed using a Spellbinders Standard Circles LG die template, layered with on top of a doily and label that features the for YOU sentiment from stamped in the lower right hand corner.
Here's a peek from above:
Don't you think this a fab way to dress up a little bottle?
All of these sets are FULL of so many images that can be easily mixed and matched so I stamped a few variations to give you an idea of the endless combinations as well as a few different cutting tools that used:
My inspiration for this project came from the complimentary room toiletries provided by the Riverside Mission Inn that my sweet hubby photographed for me while we were there on a recent stay:
That wraps it up for today ~ I will be back tomorrow with Day#2 previews. Thanks for looking! For some awesome inspiration, please be sure to see what Claire and the rest of the Waltzingmouse DT have created:

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, June 25, 2011 @ 8:55 PM | , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend :) Can't wait to show you what I've been working on for both the upcoming Waltzingmouse Stamps and JustRite Stampers July release which begin on Tuesday, June 28th.
I made this Sympathy card for my sweet blogging friend and CR84FN design team~mate, Heather Jensen who's Mom recently passed away. You can read more details regarding her situation HERE. Please keep Heather and her family in your thoughts and prayers during these difficult times.
I started with some gorgeous My Mind's Eye patterned paper added a few fabric flowers from Michael's and a multi-layered die cut butterfly. The darling sentiment tag was made by stamping the With Sympathy stamp using Memento ink from JustRite Stampers Just Because Mini Sentiments then cut using a die template from JustRite Stampers Happy Everything Mini Tag - Kit. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's Sketchbook Saturday's Challenge #17.

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all having a great weekend thus far! I have been working on lots of fun DT projects~for both the upcoming Waltzingmouse Stamps and JustRite Stampers July release which begin Tuesday, June 28th. If you would like a peek at what's to come from Claire, please click HERE! I needed a card for my dear GF's 3 1/2 month old granddaughter who is critically ill. The precious little girl is severe anemic and has been in the Pediatric ICU for several weeks now, receiving treatment including multiple blood transfusions while they all anxiously await test results. My heart goes out to all of them.
I stamped the wee L'il sheep image from Waltzingmouse L'il Buddies with Memento Tuxedo Black ink then using a Q-tip, I applied SU Whisper White ink. A technique recently inspired by Nichole Heady click HERE. I cut the cute L'il guy out, popped him up with a few foam adhesive squares, layered him on a die cut circle and label that was stamped using an image from Waltzingmouse Very Vintage Labels No.1.
For sketch inspiration, I referred to this week's Stampin' Royalty Sketch #77. If you are looking for saw awesome inspiration, please be sure to click HERE see what the DT has created!

Thank you so much for visiting and for the kind comments! I tried my best to keep up with blogging, squeezing some time in here and there while away :) I apologize if I've overlooked an email or two. I was a stamping machine prior to leaving meeting a few DT commitments & deadlines. Today, I am just creating for fun taking on a few challenges.

I've been itching to scrapbook, so I went to my printed stash of photos and dug out an "older" darling photo of Meredith playing with one of her baby dolls ~ She has always been a girly girl at heart :)
Using various patterned papers all from the Pink Paislee Hometown Summer 6"x6" pack ~ (Yep, a 12"x12" LO made using paper from a 6"x6" pack!) ~ I pieced strips and made a bunch of embellishments. Shown below is a close up of one of the butterflies made using PTI butterfly dies:
